For Caitlin Clark’s WNBA rookie, I’d start with 2024 Panini Prizm WNBA #22. Her earlier Bowman University cards show her at Iowa and are college cards rather than WNBA rookies.
Prizm #145 is another card in the same WNBA set. Select has several numbered levels, so “Clark Select rookie” needs a card number before you can compare it properly.
Complete strict WNBA rookie-card checklist (4 cards)
| Year | Manufacturer | Set | Number | Classification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 | Panini | Origins WNBA | #13 | Traditional WNBA base RC |
| 2024 | Panini | Prizm Monopoly WNBA | #65 | Traditional WNBA base RC |
| 2024 | Panini | Prizm WNBA | #22 | Traditional WNBA base RC |
| 2024 | Panini | Select WNBA Concourse | #72 | Traditional WNBA base RC |
Additional rookie-year base-set cards
These are genuine 2024 base-set Clark cards, but established hobby classification does not give them the same strict RC designation as the four cards above.
| Year | Manufacturer | Set | Number | Classification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 | Panini | Prizm WNBA | #145 | Rookie-year base; alternate base-set photo, not RC-designated |
| 2024 | Panini | Select WNBA Premier Level | #151 | Rookie-year tiered base card |
| 2024 | Panini | Select WNBA Courtside | #218 | Rookie-year tiered base card |
Prizm WNBA #22: start with the Fever card

If the aim is a card from Clark’s first Fever season, this is a straightforward place to start. I would check what the base card looks like before getting into Silver, colors, and patterned versions.
Do keep WNBA in the set name. “Prizm Clark” can bring up college cards as well as WNBA cards. The same player and the same brand do not make every result the same rookie card. This recommendation is a collecting starting point, not a claim that #22 is her only legitimate WNBA rookie.
Prizm #145 and Select’s three levels
Beckett’s Prizm WNBA checklist lists Clark at both #22 and #145. That second number matters: #145 is not simply a Silver or colored version of #22. Check the number on the back before comparing sales or deciding which photo you prefer.

For Select, Clark’s #72 is Concourse, #151 is Premier Level, and #218 is Courtside, as listed in the Select WNBA checklist. These are different levels within the base set. A parallel is another distinction within a level, not a replacement for the level name.
The pictured copy is base #72. If a listing says “Select Silver,” I still want to know whether it is #72, #151, or #218. Otherwise I could be comparing different cards while thinking I was just comparing condition.
The Iowa cards came earlier
The 2022–23 Bowman Chrome University #50 shows Clark at Iowa. Some catalogs shorten the season to 2022; that shorter year in a listing is not, by itself, evidence of a different card.
For an Iowa collection, an early college card may be exactly what you want. For a collection of cards from her first WNBA season, it fills a different slot from Prizm WNBA. A “1st Bowman” marking marks her first Bowman card; it does not turn the Iowa card into a Fever rookie.
Also read the whole Bowman product name. Bowman Chrome University and Bowman University Best are separate sets, even when a player has the same number in both. Topps publishes a separate University Best checklist. “Bowman Clark #50” leaves out a detail you need.
Base, Silver, and image variations
Prizm is the brand name; it does not mean every card is a Silver Prizm. Likewise, Select #72 base and Select #72 Silver Prizm are separate versions. Match the finish, number, and level before using another sale as a comparison.
The earlier Bowman #50 also appears on Beckett’s image-variation checklist. A changed photograph and a colored Refractor are different things. There is no need to memorize every parallel; identify the particular copy you are considering.
The Rookie Card Take
I’d pick base Prizm WNBA #22 for one card marking Clark’s arrival in Indiana. If I preferred Select #72’s design and the copy cost less, I would be comfortable choosing that instead. Neither needs to be a highly graded card or a scarce parallel to count as a WNBA rookie.
For an Iowa fan, I’d put the college card first and add a Fever rookie later if I wanted both stages represented. The right distinction is which part of her career you want to collect—not whether an earlier date automatically makes one card the only rookie worth having.
